KA Oil
KA oil is the industry term for the unrefined mixture of cyclohexanone / cyclohexanol (Ketone/Alcohol) which is produced by the oxidation of cyclohexane. The ratio of cyclohexanone / cyclohexanol in the KA oil is dependent on the synthesis and catalyst used and can range from 50:50 to 10:90. KA can be used directly to manufacture adipic acid or can be converted to pure cyclohexanone for use in caprolactam synthesis.
